Attorney Allison Dykehouse of Grand Rapids, MI; cheating slacker

The state of Michigan presented Allison Marie Dykehouse with a law license in 2014 after she graduated from Thomas Cooley School of Law.

FYI: Cooley is ranked as the worst or one of the worst law schools in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools. Proof of such a ranking is the fact that Donald Trump’s former attorney and fixer was none other than convicted felon Michael Cohen.

The County Hearing Panel #1 found Ally guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Committed professional misconduct in her representation of a client in a divorce matter
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Allison!)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep a client reasonably informed about the status of a matter
  • Failed to comply promptly with reasonable requests for information
  • Failed to explain a matter to the client to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Revealed a confidence or secret of a client
  • Used a confidence or secret of a client to the disadvantage of the client
  • Represented a client when the representation of that client was materially limited by the lawyer's own interests
  • Failed to refund the unearned portion of an advance fee (cheater)

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Ally by gifting her with a complimentary 3-year suspension of her law license.

Additionally, Ally was ordered to pay restitution of $3,000.00 and assessed costs of $2,198.08.

As we speak (ca. October 2019), Ally practices at 1331 Franklin Street in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
