Attorney Neil Chaness of Farmington Hills, MI; check bouncing loser

The state of Michigan presented Neil A. Chaness with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of Detroit School of Law. 

The Tri-County Hearing Panel #62 found Neil guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Improperly used office trust account
• Wrote checks on insufficient funds account [rubber]
• Improperly deposited his own funds in a client trust account in an amount more than reasonably necessary to pay financial institution service charges or bank fees

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Neil by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed $763.92 in costs.
