Attorney Jeffrey Slocombe of Traverse City, MI; liar, repeat offender

 

The state of Michigan provided Jeffrey A. Slocombe with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

 

The Tri-County Hearing Panel #54 found Jeff guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Jeff’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct by knowingly assisting or inducing another to do so, or doing so through the acts of another
  • Notarized affidavit of client’s signature that was actually signed by someone else
  • Did not notarize affidavit in presence of client or person who actually signed it
  • Lied to ethic investigators he had not been subject of ethics investigation requests when in fact he had been the subject of six (6) six separate investigatory requests

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Panel punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

 

Jeff’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to explain matter to extent necessary for client to make informed decisions regarding representation
  • Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct by knowingly assisting or inducing another to do so, or doing so through the acts of another

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Panel punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

As we speak (September 2017), Jeff practices with the Slocombe Law Office at 236 ½ East Front Street in Traverse City, Michigan.
