Attorney Michael Bonenfant of Westford, MA; ethical gremlin

The state of Massachusetts presented Michael E. Bonenfant with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from the Massachusetts School of Law.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

• Improperly backdated all mortgage documents at closing
• Falsely certified he had examined driver license of mortgagee
• Allowed wife to sign husband’s name on all closing documents without a power of attorney, without authorization of lender and in violation of lender’s instructions
• Falsely notarized mortgage documents despite fact that he never witnessed the person signing the documents

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license. 

As we speak (ca. March 2015) Mike practices with Michael Bonenfant and Associates LLC at 515 Groton Road in Westford, Massachusetts.
