Attorney David Newton of Newburyport, MA; thieving loser

The state of Massachusetts presented David C. Newton with a law license in 2008 after he graduated from Boston University School of Law.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Davey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Davey admitted to stealing more than $20,000 from his law firm’s bank account
  • Violated his fiduciary duty he owed to his partners and his firm
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Repeatedly lied to ethics investigators (Up yours, said Davey!)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
  • Knowingly took advantage of his law partners

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Bar Overseers punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Davey fails to mention the above misconduct on his self-serving website at www.dcnlawoffice.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. December 2023), Davey practices his so-called brand of law with the Law Office of David C. Newton at 6 Harris Street in Newburyport, Massachusetts.
