Attorney Thomas Torrisi of Methuen, MA; lying thief

The state of Massachusetts presented Thomas J. Torrisi with a law license in 1985.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Signed client’s name to settlement agreement w/o client’s knowledge/consent
  • Falsely notarized client’s signature to settlement agreement
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Signed client’s name to settlement check w/o client’s knowledge/consent
  • Lied to client that settlement check hadn’t been received
  • Intentionally used client funds for personal use
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Because Attorney Misfits in Massachusetts are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Tommy was never criminally charged with forgery or grand larceny.

As we speak (ca. April 2016) Tommy practices with the Law Office of Thomas J. Torrisi at 286 Merrimack Street in Methuen, Massachusetts.

CAUTION:  Tommy does not carry legal malpractice insurance
