Attorney Deborah Luxenberg of Bethesda, MD; ethical gremlin

The state of Maryland presented Deborah Y. Luxenberg with a law license in 1982 after she graduated from the University of Maryland Law School. Deborah was presented with a license to practice in Washington, D.C. in 1975.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Deborah guilty of the following misconduct.

Deborah failed to make reasonable efforts to ensure that her firm had in effect measures giving reasonable assurance that all lawyers in the firm conformed to the Maryland Lawyers’ Rules of Professional Conduct.

Deborah’s failure permitted a substantial loss of trust and estate assets.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Deborah by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2013), Deborah practices with Luxenberg & Johnson PC at 7920 Norfolk Avenue in Bethesda, Maryland.
