The Kansas Disciplinary Board found J. Gregory guilty of the following misconduct.

Failed to return numerous phone calls received from client

Failed to return unearned fees to client (crook)

Failed to take reasonable steps to protect client’s interests when fired

Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law

Failed to cooperate with disciplinary investigators (Up Yours, said Debbie!)

Intentionally lied to client re: filing of a motion

Misconduct involved multiple offenses

Exhibited total indifference to making restitution to client
As a consequence of her misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court punished Debbie by gifting her with a complimentary 1-year suspension of her law license.
As we speak (ca. February 2014) Debra is employed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office at 301 North Main Street in Wichita, Kansas.
