Attorney Mark Murphy of Overland Park, KS; ethical troll

The state of Kansas presented Mark David Murphy with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law.

The Kansas Disciplinary Board found Mark guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide competent representation
• Engaged in an egregious conflict of interest
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Represented both parties in a business transaction that was not disclosed to a federal bankruptcy court which had jurisdiction
• Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
• Exhibited a dishonest and selfish motive
• Committed multiple rule violations
• Refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Mark fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.mlf-llc.com. Apparently, Mark decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that he would not limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. May 2023), Mark practices his so-called brand of law with Murphy Law at 10801 Mastin Street in Overland Park, Kansas.
