Attorney Richard Haitbrink of Shawnee Mission, KS; ethical gremlin

The state of Kansas presented Richard F. Haitbrink with a law license in 1966 after he graduated from the University of Kansas Law School.

The Kansas Board for Discipline of Attorneys found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to communicate with client
• Improperly entered into agreement limiting malpractice claims
• Failed to safeguard client property
• Failed to terminate representation when required to do so
• Failed to report misconduct to Disciplinary Board
• Engaged in a conflict of interest

As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (August 2016) Dick practices in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.
