Attorney Sara Kersenbrock of Waterloo, IA; ethical misfit

The state of Iowa presented Sara Anne Kersenbrock with a law license in 1978 after she graduated from Creighton University Law School. 

The Iowa Supreme Court Disciplinary Board found Sara guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to maintain adequate accounting records
• Failed to deposit client funds into client trust account
• Failed to retain trust account records for six years
• Improperly collected fee in probate matter
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a consequence of her misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Sara by gifting her with a complimentary 30-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2014), Sara practices at 607 Sycamore Street in Waterloo, Iowa.
