Attorney Karmen Anderson of Des Moines, IA; slacker

The state of Iowa presented Karmen Anderson with a law license in 2010 after she graduated from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law.

FYI: Mitchell Hamline is ranked as the 164th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools.

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Karmen guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to decline/terminate representation when required to so act
  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Failed to communicate with client

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Karmen by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As one would suspect, Karmen and her firm fail to mention the misconduct set forth above on her self-serving website at www.hawkeyedefense.comApparently, she and her firm felt it necessary to conceal said relevant information from prospective clients in order to not limit his and his firm’s future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. February 2020), Karmen practices with Anderson & Taylor at 3835 University Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa.
