Attorney Glen Downey of Des Moines, IA; slacker, repeat offender

The state of Iowa presented Glen Stephen Downey with a law license in 2014 after he graduated from the University of Iowa Law School.

The Iowa Supreme Court Disciplinary Board found Glen guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to appear at least three scheduled court hearings on client’s behalf
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to expedite client litigation
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Glen’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Tree. He previously received a complimentary admonition for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Glen by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2018), Glen practices with the Downey & Mundy Law Offices at 303 East Court Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa.
