Attorney Susan E. Bybee of Anderson, IN; liar, Dufus

The state of Indiana presented Susan Elizabeth Bashaw Bybee with a law license in 1984.

The Indiana Judicial Qualifications Commission found Susan guilty of the following misconduct during her attempt to dupe the voters into electing her as a Madison County Court Judge.

In a campaign brochure Susan prepared and distributed against her opponent, incumbent Judge Thomas C. Clem she stated:

Litigants in County Court 2 have complained of cases held “under advisement” for months at a time.
The number of pending cases in County Court 2 had more than doubled under the current judge [Clem]. Hundreds of people are still waiting to have their disputes resolved.

The commission ruled that Susan did not inquire into the actual status of any pending cases in County Court 2 to support her claims that hundreds were still waiting.
Court 2 was not reporting cases under advisement in numbers approaching the hundreds. Put simply, Susan knowingly lied!

To make matters worse, Susan the Fabricator compared the statistics in County Court 2 with those in County Court 1 to attack Judge Clem. Again, Susan intentionally lied about Judge Clem.

It was obvious that Susan would fabricate any lie in order to obtain a judgeship that likely paid much more than she ever hoped to earn as an attorney.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Susan by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2012) Susan the Deceiver practices law with Gregg & Bybee at 130 West 8th Street in Anderson, Indiana.
