Attorney John Dore of Chicago; ethical elf

The state of Illinois presented John N. Dore with a law license in 1974.

The Disciplinary Commission found John guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Engaged in conduct tending to bring the legal profession into disrepute
  2. Engaged in conduct knowing it served to harass or maliciously injure another
  3. Asserting a position that he knew was frivolous
  4. Made statements with reckless disregard for the truth concerning a judge
  5. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  6. Failed to provide competent legal representation (Dufus)
  7. Monetarily sanctioned by court for engaging in engaging in frivolous conduct
John’s misconduct involved multiple clients (victims). John’s asinine conduct caused defense counsel in several cases to expend considerable time and expense in defending against his frivolous lawsuits. In addition, John’s conduct imposed a genuine risk of harm to the reputations of everyone he falsely maligned. He falsely accused defense attorneys of suborning perjury, and accused Judge Dolan of bias and lack of competence. John’s harassing and frivolous litigation tactics occurred over the course of at least two years and involved several litigation matters.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished John by gifting her with a complimentary 150-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2012) John practices at 134 North LaSalle Street in Chicago, Illinois.
