Attorney Dennis Atteberry of Taylorville, IL; lying scammer

The state of Illinois presented William Mack Anderson with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Commission found Denny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Filed a statement of candidacy in a primary election for the office of resident circuit judge for Shelby County in which he claimed a false residence address within the county in order to comply with the residency requirement for that judicial position
  • No dispute that Denny did not reside in Shelby County and was not eligible for said judicial office

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Denny by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As one would suspect, Denny fails to mention the above misconduct on his self-serving website at www.atteberrylaw.com. Apparently, Denny chose to conceal this information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. February 2020), Denny practices with Atteberry PC at 220 West Main Cross Street in Taylorville, Illinois.
