Attorney Matthew Booker of Springfield, IL; lying loser

 

The state of Illinois presented Matthew Ryan Booker with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Law

 

The Disciplinary Commission found Matty guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Made false statements to opposing counsel
  • Knowingly made false statement of material fact in disciplinary matter (Screw you, said Matty!)
  • Failed to keep the client reasonably informed about the status of the matter
  • Failed to advise clients of plaintiff’s motion for sanctions
  • Failed to apprise clients of court’s sanctions
  • Failed to reasonably consult with the client about the means by which the client's objectives are to be accomplished
  • Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions
  • Knowingly made false statement of fact or law to a
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud deceit or misrepresentation
  • Knowingly made false statements to client and insurer
  • Knowingly assisting or inducing another to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Matty by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court.
