Attorney David Neely of Chicago; thieving perjurer

The state of Illinois presented David Edmund Neely with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the John Marshall Law School.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Davey guilty of the following misconduct.

  • While employed as Federal Public Defender submitted verified (sworn) forms containing false claims for reimbursement
  • Requested payment for more than 24 hours on given days
  • Double-billed the federal program for certain work
  • Made repeated false statements to several District Court judges and Judge Finnegan
  • Submitted false invoices and expenses after an investigation had already been initiated into his earlier inaccurate billing practices
  • Had not refunded any portion of the unearned fee at time ethics complaint filed
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

Because Attorney Misfits in Illinois are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else Davey was never criminally charged with perjury, fraud and/or grand theft.

As we speak (January 2019), Davey practices with David E. Neely & Associates at 5619 South Wabash Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.

CAUTION:  Davey does not carry legal malpractice insurance
