Attorney Nancy Carlson of Inverness, IL; scamming liar

The state of Illinois presented Nancy Lee Carlson with a law license in 1985 after she graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law. Cooley is recognized as the worst or one of the worst schools in the nation. It is well known for taking in loser that could not get accepted into mainstream schools such as the University of Illinois, Northern Illinois University, and/or DePaul University.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Nancy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to file an answer or respond to a motion for default in a couple’s foreclosure matter
  • Negligence led to the court entering a default judgment against her clients.
  • Intentionally assisted a group of clients in accessing funds by having the funds diverted through her trust account, to avoid court orders designed to preserve those funds
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Dishonestly counseled a client in conduct she knew to be illegal or fraudulent by opening a bank account that she allowed her client to use to move funds in contravention of court orders
  • Acted dishonestly by misrepresenting that her clients' deposit of approximately $180,000 of corporate funds into Respondent's business account constituted partial payment of an agreed-upon $250,000 flat fee for legal services

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Nancy by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Nancy practices with the Law Office of Nancy Lee Carlson at 926 Braeburn Road in Inverness, Illinois.
