In one matter, Gary engaged in a conflict of interest when he filed a petition on behalf of a client to be appointed guardian for an elderly woman, alleging that the elderly woman was not competent. A month later, he filed a pleading on behalf of the elderly woman to resist a relative’s effort to be appointed guardian, asserting that the elderly woman was competent.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Gary by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

• Represented sellers and buyer in real estate matter and went on to seek a broker's commission from the sale

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Gary by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.
