Attorney Richard Gonzalez of Chicago; thieving loser

The state of Illinois presented Richard Dennis Gonzalez with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the Boston College Law School.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to file brief in support of appeal of client’s deportation order
  • Knew he was not lawfully entitled to receive legal fees he took from clients of the law offices of Robert Heiserman
  • Failed to inform Heiserman firm he had wrongfully retained fees owed and paid to said firm
  • Engaged in conduct tending to bring counts/legal profession into disrepute (What’s new?)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct tending to defeat the administration of justice
  • Converted (stole) fees owing to former law firm

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (March 2017), Dick practices at 180 North LaSalle Street in Chicago, Illinois.

CAUTION:  Dick does not carry legal malpractice insurance
