Attorney Jeffrey Abbott of Bloomington, IL; lying convict

 

The state of Illinois presented Michael Charles Goode with a law license in 1979.

 

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Jeff guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Criminally convicted of disorderly conduct
  • Knowingly made a false state of fact or law to a tribunal
  • Knowingly failed to correct false statement of material fact/law previously made to tribunal
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Convicted of driving under the influence (DUI)
  • Filed bankruptcy pleadings that contained false information
  • Convicted of battery
  • Verbally harassed neighbors after consuming 20 beers
  • Yelled epithets, made obscene gestures and threatened to hurt his neighbors

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary 5-month suspension of his law license.  

 

As we speak (March 2017), Jeff practices with Ostling and Associates, Ltd. at 201 West Olive Street in Bloomington, Illinois.
