Attorney Thomas Demas of Oak Park, IL; sleazy slacker

The state of Illinois presented Thomas L. Demas with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from John Marshall Law School.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in overreaching the attorney/client relationship
• Breached fiduciary obligations owed to client
• Engaged in self-dealing with estate property for his own benefit
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (August 2016), Tommy practices with the Thomas L Demas Law Office at 6821 West North Avenue in Oak Park, Illinois.
