Attorney Stephen Debboli of Chicago; ethical misfit

The state of Illinois presented Corey Stephen C. Debboli with a law license in 1976.

The Disciplinary Commission found Corey guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to act with reasonable diligence (slacker)
  2. Refused to respond to lawful request from disciplinary panel (Up Yours, said Stephen!)
  3. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  4. Engaged in the illegal practice of law while license suspended
In one matter, Stephen represented a client in a civil rights action. In this action, Stephen’s gross negligence in failing to respond to mandatory discovery requests led the trial court to order that certain facts be admitted to be true against his client.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Stephen by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license. .

As we speak (ca. August 2012) Stephen practices at 219 North Jefferson Street in Chicago, Illinois.
