Attorney Heather Beverly of Chicago; ethical leprechaun

The state of Illinois presented Heather Marie Beverly with a law license in 1996 after she graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Heather guilty of the following misconduct.

• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Breached fiduciary duty through misuse of trust fund account
• Engaged in conduct bringing legal profession into disrepute (What’s new?)
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Allowed non-attorney to use trust fund to deposit funds relating to her business
• Allowed employee to sign name to checks written from trust account all without any appropriate supervision on the part of Heather

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Heather by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (January 2018), Heather practices with the Law Office of Heather Beverly PC at 401 North Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.
