Attorney Vernon Smith Jr. of Boise, ID; slacker, loser

The state of Idaho presented Vernon Kenneth Smith Jr. with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of Puget Sound School of Law.

The Idaho Bar Counsel found Jeff guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to show any contrition of remorse for his misconduct
• Refused to accept responsibility for his actions
• Failed to file Idaho and Federal tax returns for 13 consecutive years
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Improperly shared fees with a nonlawyer

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Idaho Supreme Court punished Vern by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.  

As we speak (ca. June 2023), Vern will resume his so-called brand of law with Vernon K Smith Law Office at 1900 West Main Street in Boise, Idaho in early 2025.
