The state of Georgia presented Michael Rene Berlon with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from George State University Law School.
The Georgia State Bar found Michael guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Michael represented a client in regards to child support issues. The client also asked Michael to file an action for change of custody, but Michael failed to do so. Michael never advised his client that he had failed to file for change of custody with the court.
The client subsequently discovered on his own that Michael had not filed the custody action when he appeared for a hearing on a child support matter.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court punished Michael by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. June 2013), Michael practices with The Law Office of Michael R. Berlon at 1911 Grayson Highway in Grayson, Georgia.
