Attorney Marc Yonker of Tampa; dishonest loser

The state of Florida presented Marc Edward Yonker with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

The Florida State Bar found Marc guilty of the following misconduct.
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Appropriating client files from prior firm for personal use constituted theft
Marc and colleague Henry Winters made secret plans to leave a law firm and practice together in a new firm. In the process, clients were solicited to leave the law firm to be represented by Marc and Henry at the new law firm.

Marc, without authorization, took client filed from the former firm during his lunch break to have them copied. Marc and Henry also created letterhead that included a third attorney’s name without his permission. This attorney never joined the new firm and directed Marc and Henry to stop using letterhead with his name on it.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits in Florida sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Marc by gifting him with a complimentary a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. July 2013) Marc practices with the Aggressive Law Group in Tampa, Florida.
