Attorney Charles Vanture of Tallahassee, FL; ethical gremlin

The state of Florida presented Charles Edward Vanture with a law license in 1983 after he graduated the Florida State University School of Law.

The State Bar of Florida found Charlie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Entered into agreement with a non-lawyer for the non-lawyer to procure clients for him in return for a fee
• Non-lawyer sent three clients to Charlie, who paid the non-lawyer $250 per client
• Charlie did not know any of the clients before they hired him and none of the clients were related to, or personal friends of his

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Charlie by gifting him with a complimentary 20-day suspension of his law license. 

As we speak (ca. January 2019) Charlie practices with Smith & Vanture LLP at 902 North Duval Street in Tallahassee, Florida.
