Attorney Raleigh Bynum of DC; slacker

The District of Columbia presented Raleigh W. Bynum II with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore Law School.

The DC Bar Counsel found Raleigh guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Intentionally failed to seek the lawful objectives of his clients
  • Failed to keep client reasonably informed of status of matter
  • Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the DC Bar Counsel Grievance Committee punished Raleigh by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2017), Raleigh practices with The Bynum Firm PLLC at 910 17th Street NW in Washington, DC.
