Attorney Eric Howard of Georgetown, DE; ethical gremlin
The state of Delaware presented Eric C. Howard with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from Duke University Law School.
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Eric guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, Eric was hired by Victor Pisapia to handle legal matter relating to the buy-out of a small business in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Shortly thereafter, Eric became unresponsive to Mr. Pisapia, which resulted in him being fired.
In another matter, Eric was hired to represent Ms. Ethel Webb and several others involving the valuation of a business. Again, Eric did not respond to her as well as the other parties. Making matters worse, Eric also failed to respond to requests from the trial court.
As a consequence of his most recent misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Delaware Supreme Court punished John by gifting him with a second (2nd) complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. April 2013) Eric practices with Morris James Wilson Halbrook & Bayard LLP at 107 West Market Street in Georgetown, Delaware.
On Eric’s self-serving website at www.morrisjames.com, it makes no mention of the misconduct aforementioned. Apparently, the firm decided to conceal this information so as to not limit its future victim pool.
