The state of Connecticut provided William K. Eisenmann with a law license in 1989
The Statewide Grievance Committee found Nitor guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, William represented a client who injured his ankle while shopping at K-Mart. Subsequently, William filed a lawsuit on behalf of the client.
The attorney representing K-Mart promptly served discovery requests on William, which were not timely answered. Thereafter, K-Mart’s attorney filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, which was followed by a Motion for Order of Compliance. Two months later, the trial judge dismissed the lawsuit as a result of William’s failure to timely respond to K-Mart’s discovery requests.
Making matters worse, William did not inform his client about the dismissal of his lawsuit.
When K-Mart filed for bankruptcy, the client relied on William to file a proof of claim with the bankruptcy court. However, as one would suspect, William did absolutely nothing to pursue his client’s lawful claim in the bankruptcy proceeding.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Nitor by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. August 2013) William practices with the Law Offices of William K. Eisenmann at 270 Hartford Avenue in Wethersfield, Connecticut.
