The state of Connecticut provided Louis A. Afonso with a law license in 1989.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Louie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide client with required written fee agreement
• Failed to provide competent representation (imbecile)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to abide by client instructions re: scope of representation
• Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
• Commingled client funds with personal funds

As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Louie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2016) Louie practices at 3324 Main Street in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
