Attorney Richard Howieson of Denver, CO; convicted pedophile

The State of Colorado provided Richard A. Howieson with a law license in 2018 after he graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law.

The Presiding Disciplinary Judge found Dick guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Pled guilty in Jefferson County District Court to a class-six felony of obscenity – promotion to a minor.
• Dick’s conviction stemmed from his exchange of messages with a Jefferson County detective posing as a fourteen-year-old girl via cell phone and the messaging apps Kik and Whisper
• During those exchanges, Dick sent a nude photo of himself and agreed to meet his interlocutor the same day
• Dick drove to the meeting place, where he was arrested by Jefferson County Sheriff’s officers and charged with internet sexual
• exploitation of a child
• That count was dismissed when Dick pleaded guilty to obscenity— promotion to minor
• Engaged in conduct that reflects adversely on Dick’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court suspended Dick’s law license for 18-months.
