Attorney Murray Damschen of Lakewood, CO; pompous scofflaw

The state of Colorado provided Murray Damschen with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from the University of Colorado Law School.

The Colorado State Bar found Murray guilty of the following misconduct.

• Violated no-contact court order limiting communications with ex-wife
• Violated court’s no-contact order by sending ex-wife emails containing insults and by telephoning her
• Held in contempt of court for violating no-contact order
• Conduct caused ex-wife emotional distress and caused the court system injury by necessitating contempt proceedings
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Murray by gifting him, with a complimentary reprimand.
