Attorney David Gaass of Denver; ethical gremlin

The state of Colorado provided David P. Gaass with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the University of Denver Law School.

The Colorado State Bar found Dave guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to file disclosures in client’s personal injury case
  • Failed to prepare mandatory case management order
  • Failed to set client’s matter for trial
  • Failed to respond to defendant’s motion to dismiss client’s case
  • Negligence led to court dismissing client’s case
  • Failed to advise client motion to dismiss case was filed
  • Failed to provide client with copy lawsuit
  • Failed to serve lawsuit on one of the defendants
  • Court entered order imposing costs against client
  • Failed to advise client or court order re: imposition of costs
  • Failed to respond to defense counsel communications
  • Failed to obtain adequate medical records from client
  • Knowingly failed to accurately informed client of status of legal matter

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Dave by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. July 2016), Dave practices at 433 Clarkson Street in Denver, Colorado.
