Attorney Donald Bloom of San Francisco; ethical goblin
The state of California provided Donald Edward Bloom with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
The State Bar Court found Donnie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.
-
Intentionally, recklessly, and repeatedly failed to provide competent representation (moron)
-
Misconduct significantly harmed a client, the public, or the administration of justice
-
Misconduct involved multiple acts of wrongdoing
-
Failed to advise his clients of hearing dates
-
Failed to advise clients of opposing party’s settlement offer
-
Failed to inform clients about discovery orders
-
Failed to file an opposition to petitioners Temporary Emergency Ex Parte Order
-
Failed to advise clients of court’s order to pay sanctions and pay temporary spousal support
-
Failed to inform clients of proposed order to list and sell the family home
-
Failed to inform clients of significant developments in their case
-
Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Donnie!)
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Donnie by gifting him with a complimentary reproval.
As we speak (ca. June 2022), Donnie practices his so-called brand of law at 50 California Street in San Francisco, California.
