Attorney James Wyre of Conway, AR;  ethical leprechaun

The state of Arkansas presented James Otis Wyre with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

The Committee on Professional found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide notice to his clients with matters pending in the United States Bankruptcy Court
  • Failed to advise client he was turning over their files to the Bankruptcy Court
  • Knowingly made false statement of material fact to a tribunal
  • Failed to inform clients he would no longer represent them
  • Failed to file motions with Bankruptcy Court seeking permission to withdraw representation
  • Failed to take steps to protect client interests upon termination
  • Falsely lied to Judge Fussell he would no longer be practicing law
  • Failed to comply with court order (Up yours, said Jimmy!)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Failed to appear at trial on client’s behalf
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (September 2018), Jimmy practices at 690 South Salem in Conway, Arkansas.
