Attorney Thomas Anderson of Yuma; ethical dwarf

The state of Arizona presented Thomas J. Anderson with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from the University of Arizona Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Thomas guilty of the following misconduct.

Thomas was hired to represent a client in a legal malpractice case. Approximately 20 months later, the client discovered that the malpractice action had been dismissed because Thomas filed to file a pretrial statement.

Thomas then told his client that was case was dismissed, but that he was going to immediately move to have the lawsuit reinstated. Over the course of the next two months, the client’s personal attorney sent certified letters to Thomas expressing concern about the dismissal and the need to have the dismissal set aside.

Thomas failed to communicate with the client and he also failed to mot to set aside the dismissal. Furthermore, he took no further action regarding his client’s case.

And lastly, Thomas failed to cooperate with the bar’s investigators. In truth, Thomas said, “Up Yours!”

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Thomas by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2013) Thomas practices at 256 South 2nd Avenue in Yuma, Arizona.
