Attorney Gregory Droeger of Nogales, AZ; repeat offender

The state of Arizona presented Gregory L. Droeger with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the University of Arizona Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Gregory guilty of engaging in the following misconduct

Greg drafted and witnessed a will for an elderly client, and later drafted and witnessed a codicil to the same will. Three years later, Greg drafted and witnessed a new will, which made an in-home caretaker a contingent beneficiary and personal representative of the client’s estate. The client subsequently ordered Greg to destroy the will and at the same time hired another attorney to draft a new will.

When the client passed away, a family member contested the will and the appointment of the in-home caretaker as personal representative. Even though he knew he would be a witness in the congested will matter since he drafted them, Greg continued to represent the in-home caretaker in probate court. Put simply, Greg was too ignorant to appreciate what the term “conflict of interest” meant.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Gregory by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

This wasn’t Greg’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He subsequently received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.
