Attorney Yvonne Yragui of Phoenix; lying Dufus

The state of Arizona presented Yvonne Yragui with a law license by the Arizona Supreme Court in 1991 after she graduated from the University of Arizona law school.

The Arizona State Bar found Yvonne guilty of the following misconduct.

Yvonne represented Ola Salaam in a collection case involving the first attorney hired by Ola.   The legal action to collect attorney fees resulted in a default judgment being rendered against Salaam.

A hearing on the collection matter was scheduled to be heard in the Maricopa County Superior Court. Yvonne filed a motion/notice with the court asking for a continuation of the hearing because she had a conflict. In her motion/notice to the court, Yvonne stated she had reservations to fly to Portland, Oregon to attend the funeral service of her uncle.

It was later discovered that Yvonne lied to the court about a dead uncle. In fact, she had a scheduled appointment on the date of the scheduled hearing to meet with a potential care provider to care for a third-party family member, a meeting which did attend.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Yvonne by gifting her with a complimentary censure.

Because Attorney Misfits in Arizona are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Yvonne was never criminally charged with obstruction of justice for lying to the judge about a dead uncle.

As we speak (ca. September 2010) Yvonne practices at 365 East Coronado Road in Phoenix, Arizona.
