The state of Arizona provided John S. Burton with a law license in 2005 after he graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law.

 

The Presiding Disciplinary Judge for the State Bar of Arizona found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

Johnny’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Charged client an unreasonable fee (cheater)
  • Failed to deposit advance fee payment into his trust account

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him, with a complimentary censure.

Johnny’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Charged client an unreasonable fee (cheater)
  • Failed to deposit advance fee payment into his trust account
  • Never submitted trademark applications on client’s behalf
  • Failed to respond to client communications
  • Failed to provide client with opinion letter regarding technology licensing agreement

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him, with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.
