Attorney Bruce Bridegroom of Tucson, AZ; ethical leprechaun

The state of Arizona presented Bruce D. Bridegroom with a law license in 1970 after he graduated from the University of Arizona School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar found Bruce guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Wrote check to client on insufficient funds account (rubber)
  • Failed to provide client with the written statement upon conclusion of a contingent fee matter as required
  • Failed to maintain an administrative funds ledger or individual client ledgers for any of his clients
  • Duplicate deposit slips do not identify the name of the clients on whose behalf funds were deposited
  • Failed to keep a copy of the item deposited in his trust account in the amount of $3,200, or the corresponding deposit slip, and he did not give a reason for those omissions
  • Failed to perform monthly reconciliations and his checkbook register does not include the unexpended balance after each transaction
  • Failed to use pre-numbered checks or electronic transfers on three withdrawals, thereby converting the withdrawals to cashier’s check causing the loss of the audit trial

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Bruce by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed costs of the disciplinary proceeding in the amount of $1,200.00.

As we speak (ca. April 2019) Bruce practices with the Law Office of Bruce D. Bridegroom at 1656 North Columbus Blvd in Tucson, Arizona.
