Attorney Stephen Duncan of Scottsdale, AZ; lying cheater

The state of Arizona presented Stephen L. Duncan with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from California Western University School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar found Stevie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• On at least two separate occasions, Stevie made partially false statements to his client
• Lied to client he had “met with the judge and the State” when he had not met with the judge or the State regarding the client’s matter
• When his client requested an accounting of his work, Stevie’s bill included an entry claiming “preparation for and meeting with [the assigned Deputy County Attorney]” and a second entry for meeting with the judge and prosecutor, which also false as he had not met with the assigned Deputy County Attorney or the Judge regarding his client’s case
• Intentionally misled client as to status of matter and billings
• Misconduct involved dishonest or selfish motive 

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license and ordered to pay $1,785.40 for the costs of the ethics proceedings. 

As we speak (ca. April 2019) Stevie practices with The Law Offices of Stephen L. Duncan PLC at 4295 North 75^th Street in Scottsdale, Arizona.
