Attorney Jason Goldstein of Phoenix; thieving slacker

The state of Arizona presented Jason M. Goldstein with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from the University of San Diego Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Jason guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Jason!)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Knowingly made false statement of material fact
  • Failed to perform contracted for legal services
  • Failed to provide clients with accounting of claimed fees
  • Failed to refund unearned fees (thief)
  • Improperly terminated representation
  • Failed to safeguard client property
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to appear for scheduled court appearances
  • Failed to provide clients with their files after being terminated

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Jason by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.
