Attorney Jared Smith of Safford, AZ; Dumbo, repeat offender

The state of Arizona presented Jared O. Smith with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from Brigham Young University Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Jared guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to promptly refund unearned $5,000 retainer
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Jared’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. She previously received a complimentary admonition for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Jared by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year term of probation.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Jared.

As we speak (ca. June 2015), Jared practices with the Law Office of Jared O. Smith at 605 West Main Street in Safford, Arizona.

Caution: Jared does not carry legal malpractice insurance
