Patrick Geare of Tucson; ethical Dufus

The state of Arizona presented Patrick J. Geare with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from the University of Arizona Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Harry guilty of engaging in the following misconduct
  1. Failed to provide competent legal services (moron)
  2. Failed to respond to client communications
  3. Failed to appear for scheduled office appointments with client
  4. Failed to keep client informed of progress in her lawsuit
  5. Failed to provide client with copies of court orders
  6. Failed to file notice of appeal for client within statutory deadline
  7. Wrote checks with insufficient funds (rubber)
In one worker’s compensation case, Patrick’s client was initially awarded with a 100% disability claim and received a large lump sum for past payments. Patrick received 33% of the award as attorney fees; however, the 100% award was later reduced to 52.2%, which meant there was a $22,000 overpayment. When the client advised Patrick that his fee must be based on the $22,000 reduction, he refused to refund the money to this client. What a guy!

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Patrick by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. July 2012) Patrick practices at 1893 West Grub Stake Drive in Tucson, Arizona. .
