Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner is U.S. Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ)
Trent Franks succeeded in duping the voters in the greater Phoenix and Kingman area into electing him to congress in November 2004.
Trent Franks is yet another moronic screwball whose primary objective in life is to attack a woman’s right to choose. In an effort to cement his status as one of America’s Premier Screwballs, Trent introduced a bill titled the “Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act, which would make it illegal for women to abort a pregnancy on the basis of gender.
Although gender based abortions have been well documented in India and China, Franks said sex-selective abortions are rampant in our own backyard. Of course the Screwball didn’t provide any factual evidence to support his laughable conclusion. And the reason he didn’t is because there isn’t any!
It appears that Franks is also an aspiring standup comedian in addition to being a nutcase. Franks the Comic went on to say “It represents an effort to address what has become a war on unborn little girls, and today is the day we hope that history will begin to take a better direction.”
If Franks is so concerned about a non-existent problem here in our own backyard, maybe he should introduce legislation that would make it illegal for screwballs, morons and fabricators of false facts such as himself to serve in Congress. He could title the bill “The Screwball Discrimination Act.”
Congrats Trent; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s most accomplished Screwballs; you are far too humble.
