Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner is Ann Coulter

While appearing with her Looney mentor, Sean Hannity on his June 7, 2011 show, the twin nutcases discussed the danger of mobs.

Sean apparently asked Screwy Ann what she felt about the massacre at Kent State. Annie the Comic responded by saying:

“There was the shooting at Kent State. And gosh I know liberals don’t like it and you look at Nexis and it was embarrassing for the whole country. I’m not embarrassed; that’s what you do with the mob. They were monstrous at Kent State.”

The Kent State shootings took place on May 4, 1970. At that time Annie was nine years old. Therefore, she had absolutely no personal knowledge of what took place. However, I lived in Toledo at the time and kept in tune to what transpired. In addition, my youngest daughter spent a great deal of time working on a documentary dealing with the Kent State massacre. In fact, she met with and interviewed folks who were present on the 4th of May including a student who was permanently paralyzed.

For anyone to suggest that the four (4) students who were shot and killed got what they damn well deserved is unconscionable. The forensic evidence clearly demonstrates that the Ohio National Guard troops were at fault for shooting unarmed protestors.

Is there any doubt that Annie missed her calling as a standup comedian. I' sure she would have done very well working the comedy circuit in Dresden, Hamburg or Berlin in the late 1930s and early 1940s.

Congrats Annie; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of the World’s foremost Screwballs; you are far too humble.
