Justice Joseph Watt of Oklahoma; apologist for Attorney Misfits

The state of Oklahoma presented Joseph M. Watt with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from the University of Texas Law School.

Joey has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough since he graduated from law school in 1972. Put simply, he’s been porking out on public money for the past 42 years.

Former Gov. David Walters was duped into appointing Joey to the Oklahoma Supreme Court in 1992. Joey didn’t get the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney or sitting judge in Oklahoma. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

When Attorney Misfit Waldo Jones II of Tulsa applied to have his law license reinstated, Joey had the chutzpah to cast a vote allowing Waldo to have his law license reinstated.

Joey so acted despite the fact that Waldo stole nearly $40,000 from a guardianship he was appointed to oversee. For a better understanding of Waldo’s egregious misconduct, view the URL explaining same at the end of this article.

For anyone to suggest that Waldo is ethically fit to practice law is akin to arguing that former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich is qualified to be appointed as an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. June 2014) Joey remains sitting as an Associate Justice on the Oklahoma Supreme Court.
